Common Loon

We spotted this juvenile Common Loon on Lake McDonald as we were driving down Goint-To-The-Sun Road. Loon's are rare in the park. They are conducting a Loon study to find out how many nesting pairs are around. Well, this juvenile indicates that there is at least one nesting pair. And maybe there will soon be more. The photo is a bit fuzzy, because I couldn't get close enough to the shore line to get a better shot.
