Swainson's ThrushPosted by Scott (Allentown, United States) on 24 August 2009 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio. Difficult to spot because of its drab coloring, and the fact that it is always high in a tree. This Swainson's Thrush was kind enough to pick a tree that had no foliage on it. Its song is distinctive and is what allowed us to spot this one. We actually spotted another one, along the trail on our way out. This was taken at Avalanche Lake.
