Red-tailed Hawk

Posted by Scott (Allentown, United States) on 8 August 2008 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio.

This fellow was screaming his lungs out. I don't believe I ever heard one before. There were Robins and Catbirds flying at him and yelling at him the whole time, but he sat there pretty much unphased. I think he is a juvenile, and may have been trying to figure out how to get home.

The photo is not the greatest, as he was sitting high atop this pine tree very close to sunset. The photo is a tight crop from the original.

Taken at Trexler Memorial Park.
