This is an experiment. I thought of the concept several days ago. I think I will need to try again. Anybody have any thoughts?

So now you're becoming an artist? String the instruments with twine, cord and threads and lay a couple of sets of guitar strings in the foreground. Add a barnwood backdrop and some shadow lighting for effect. Throw in a curious groundhog sitting on his haunches, staring at the instruments. Finally, scatter some multi-colored picks around the scene. Seriously, it's not bad. Unique.

@Nuke: Interesting idea. Do it in reverse.
Great job....I think you found your calling......

Very creative! I like it. Maybe add sheet music or an empty music stand. It is really impressive as is though.

@Susan: I thought about adding sheet music early on, but honestly, I forgot. Oops. But the music stand idea I never thought of. I like that. Thanks.
Best of the day. Eliminate the shadow cast on the mandolin by the green spool of thread.

@Richard: Good catch. I missed that one. 15 shots and several lighting variations to eliminate shadows and reflections, and this was the best of the lot. I wish I had noticed that shadow. I've got some more ideas for next time. Thanks.
I like the idea of adding sheet music - that would be a nice tough. The musis stand might be too overpowering. This is a soft gentle photo.
